About the Clinical Psychology Resource Centre

Better clinicians don't just know more.

They think differently.

The Clinical Psychology Resource Centre brings together decades of clinical experience, rigorous research and formulation-driven teaching to help psychologists become more thoughtful, confident and effective in the room.

40+ combined years across clinical practice, research, supervision and education.

Our belief

More than CPD. A place to develop as a clinician.

Becoming a skilled psychologist requires more than collecting training hours or adding techniques to a toolkit. It requires clinical judgement, strong formulation skills and the confidence to navigate the complexity of real therapeutic work.

Our training is designed to develop capability - not simply provide information. Every program asks the same practical question: what does this look like when a real child, adult or family is sitting in front of you?

Formulation first. Techniques second. The strongest clinicians know which tool to use, when to use it and why.

What makes CPRC different

Designed for the realities of practice.

CPRC connects clinical depth, evidence literacy and practical application - so learning translates into more confident therapeutic decisions.

01

Clinicians who still practise

Teaching stays connected to contemporary clinical work, complex presentations and the moments where a manual is no longer enough.

02

Clinical reasoning, not recipes

Training develops formulation, therapeutic flexibility and judgement—not rigid scripts or one-size-fits-all interventions.

03

Evidence made usable

Research is examined critically, translated honestly and connected to the individual client, developmental stage and context.

Meet the co-founders

Two perspectives. One shared standard for excellent clinical practice.

Dr Anna Cohen and Isabel Fraser bring complementary strengths to CPRC: deep clinical pattern recognition and research-grounded critical thinking.

Anna’s teaching is built from more than three decades of working with children, adolescents and families and supervising clinicians at the exact moments they feel stuck.

Her career spans tertiary referral services, hospitals, child protection, private practice, nature-based therapy, authorship and thousands of hours of supervision. She teaches psychologists not simply what to do, but how to reason clinically when presentations are complex and therapy does not follow a neat path.

“Nothing in Anna’s training is theoretical to her. It has been used, refined and tested in real clinical work.”

Why train with Anna?

Isabel’s work sits at the meeting point of rigorous clinical research and the day-to-day realities of therapeutic practice.

She helps psychologists understand not only what the evidence says, but how it was generated, where it holds, where it bends and where sound clinical judgement must take over. Her teaching develops clinicians who can think critically - not merely follow.

“Evidence is not an abstraction to Isabel. It is something she has helped generate, interrogate and translate into care.”
